If you claim AP credit at your current institution, and it shows up on your transcript, those credits will count toward the twenty-four-hour minimum requirement but not your GPA. Non-Texas college transcripts are evaluated by hand and accreditation granted on a case-by-case basis. What about Honors Programs?

In August 2015, I enrolled at San Antonio’s St. for granted. Growing up with the potential to be the first in my family to attend college, I never took college enrollment for granted. The many AP credits I accrued in high school may be a disadvantage, as I know that UT prefers students with fewer hours.
