At some schools, particularly Ivy League institutions, legacy status can give applicants an edge in the admissions process. Based on the admissions at Harvard from 2010 to 2015, legacy applicants were admitted at a rate of 33% , higher than the overall acceptance rate of 6%. What is legacy acceptance anyway?

Worse still- you may see people get into a college you really wanted to go to or get selected for a scholarship you were hoping to receive, while you are dealing with the disappointment of being deferred or denied or waitlisted. And by beginning I meant the entire blog, circa 2015. Celebrating others is a life skill.

Dartmouth is the outdoor Ivy. The most rural member of the Ivy League, it’s where brilliant students and outdoor enthusiasts meet — and are the same people. This rise in exclusivity has impacted the waitlist process, too. Those aren’t great odds, so you should probably call-in help if you’re eyeing a shot at the waitlist.

As an incredibly competitive Ivy League school , Brown only accepted approximately 5% of applicants (2,521 of 48,898) for the class of 2028. Psychology/Sociology: The MCAT was revised in 2015 to include content knowledge from the humanities. There's no need to land in waitlist purgatory or the rejection pile.
