With the Early Decision II rounds coming to a close this month, we wanted to share with you the trends we are seeing as well as our students successes. Trends In the last few years, weve seen a trend of much larger application pools, especially as test optional policies were adopted at the beginning of the pandemic.
One major benefit of applying to college during the early rounds is receiving an admissions decision ahead of the regular timeline. For students who take advantage of the earlyadmissions rounds, there are four possible outcomes: acceptance, denial, deferral, or direct-to-waitlist (a rarer option used at a few schools like UNC).
These shifting statistics illuminate the dynamic nature of Harvard College's admissions trends. During the earlyadmissions cycle, Harvard College admitted 7.56 percent of early applicants to the Class of 2027, marking the second-lowest early acceptance rate in the College's history.
