Even if you enter with credits from AP Biology, we recommend completing two biology courses with a lab component. The Chemistry department only accepts AP credit for placement purposes. There's no need to land in waitlist purgatory or the rejection pile. Note: The HCA recommends Statistics, and we agree.

Although, it should be noted that they encourage supplementing any advanced placement courses with additional courses in similar subjects since typically, schools do not accept AP credits in lieu of their regular prerequisites. You’re then compared with your fellow applicants and ranked on a list.
