Duke University , located in Durham, North Carolina, is consistently ranked a top-ten school associated with the Ivy-plus colleges and Southern Ivies. Duke had an overall acceptance rate of 5.1% for the Class of 2028. Duke’s one required supplemental essay this year asks (in their own words), “Why Us?” However, Duke also offers five additional optional supplemental prompts, of which students can respond to a maximum of two.

Ripon College Offers Free Tuition to Wisconsin Residents

Ripon College announced a financial aid program offering Wisconsin residents free tuition. Students from families earning $75,000 or less will qualify. Students whose families fall above that threshold will be guaranteed tuition costs no higher than those at the state's flagship university. This program could help the college's enrollment rebound after years of decline.
