They like me! These colleges really like me! Not so fast. Have you recently taken a standardized test (ACT and/or SAT)? Notice the massive increase in marketing (snail mail and email)? There is a correlation. Flattering as it may seem, don’t let all this college ‘interest’ in you go to your head. While some of these schools may have you on their radar, the more likely scenario is that these colleges ‘acquired’ your contact information from a testing agency.
