Career transitions have become increasingly common as professionals seek to adapt to changing industries, pursue new passions, or enhance their skill sets. Yet, a successful career transition can be challenging and require time, dedication, and often additional education or training.
For instance, a chemistry major might take a history course, gaining new perspectives that enrich their primary field of study. They’re equipped to transition between industries and roles, including ones that don’t yet exist. Interdisciplinary Learning Students are encouraged to explore subjects beyond their major.
Without these, you might not be eligible to transfer into your chosen field of study. While the transfer process can seem daunting, its important to remember that with the right resources and support, you can successfully make the transition. Thinking of a new major? Patient Care: Students transition to focusing heavily on clinical experience, with the option of serving urban and/or rural populations in Idaho and/or other WWAMI states. Clinical rotations are coordinated through Idaho’s WWAMI office in Boise, ID.
